The Rules:
Weight Classes
1: Robots can be built in one of four weight classes, which are as follows:
Lightweight: 0-500g
Middleweight: 500-850g
Heavyweight: 850g-1200g
SuperHeavyweight: 1200g+
1.1: Lightweight robots may only use ONE battery box (Multibots count as having two robots fighting as one, so are exempt from this rule).
1.2: Walker robots can have a 25% weight allowance on top of the limit.
1.2.1: A Walker robot's legs MUST be able to move in two or more axis for it to be classified as a walker.
1.2.2: Any less than two axis of movement is to be considered a shuffler, which does not receive a weight bonus.
1.3: If interchangeable weaponry is used, the robot's weight is measured with the heaviest setup in place.
Building Materials
2: Robots must be made of 100% Unmodified Lego parts.
2.1: The exceptions to this rule are rubber bands and string.
Weaponry
3: No entanglement or projectile weapons are allowed. No fire either.
Fights
4: Bouts last 3 minutes. At the end of those three minutes, cease is called, and the fight must stop. If no robot has clearly won during the bout, it goes to the judges and they make a decision based on Style, Control, Damage and Aggression.
4.1: A Robot is Immobilised after 30 seconds of not showing controlled movement. If a robot is immobilised, it has lost.
4.1.2: Controlled movement is defined by the respective judges.
4.2: If a Robot leaves the arena during it's fight, It has lost. This includes over the sidewall and into any pits located in the arena.
4.3: When one half of a multibot (determined by weight) has either been immobilised or leaves the arena, the whole robot has lost.
4.4: A robot that has lost is out of the competition, and their opponent proceeds to the next round of competition.
